No question is too small. Ask anything you need to feel safe, comfortable, and ready.
No, I specialise strictly in individual adult therapy. If you are looking for couples counselling or family therapy, I would be glad to point you toward trusted colleagues or professional registers that specialise in those areas.
The free initial consultation is a short, informal conversation. It is a gentle opportunity for us to connect, talk through a brief overview of what is bringing you to therapy, and see if we feel like a good match. There is absolutely no pressure or obligation to book a full session afterward.
Our first face-to-face session is entirely about establishing your comfort and safety. We will go through some simple practicalities, and then you can begin sharing your story at a pace that feels secure for you. You will never be forced to talk about anything you are not ready to explore.
Because I work integratively, the duration of your therapy is entirely tailored to your unique needs. Some clients find that a short-term block of sessions provides the clarity they need to manage a specific life curve ball, whilst others prefer open-ended therapy to explore deeper, long-standing patterns. We will review our progress regularly together.
Yes, confidentiality is the absolute foundation of my practice. Everything you share within our sessions is kept strictly private and safe. The only rare exceptions to this are if I am concerned about your immediate safety or the safety of another person, which is a standard ethical requirement that we will discuss fully during our first session.
I understand that healthcare staff, frontline workers, social workers, and teachers often navigate unpredictable schedules. I offer dedicated face-to-face appointments on a Monday from 9am to 9pm, and Thursday 3pm to 9pm, as well as other online availability. I would be happy to have a conversation about helping to fit around professional shift patterns.
I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session. This window allows me to manage my diary and offer the hour to another client who might be waiting for support. If an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, the standard session fee will apply.
Individual sessions last for fifty minutes and are priced at £60. Payment is made via bank transfer prior to each scheduled appointment. I try to keep the financial and administrative side of our work as simple and transparent as possible, allowing us to focus entirely on your support and recovery.
Progress looks entirely unique to the individual. For some, it might mean a gradual reduction in the physical symptoms of anxiety. For others, it looks like a newfound ability to say no to extra workplace demands, or feeling less isolated while navigating a chronic illness. We will regularly pause and check in together to ensure our sessions are meeting your expectations and moving at a pace that feels genuinely helpful.
Bringing therapy to a close is a collaborative process that we will plan together. Rather than stopping abruptly, it is usually most beneficial to dedicate one or two sessions to look back over your journey, reflect on the insights you have gained, and ensure you feel steady, grounded, and fully prepared to move forward independently.
